Global City Connect (GCC) successfully hosted the China-Africa Industrial Cooperation Matchmaking Conference in Beijing on May 14, 2026, bringing together Chinese enterprises, international development leaders, and industry representatives to explore practical cooperation opportunities across Africa.

The event was organized by GCC, co-hosted by WideUnion Partners — GCC’s Compliance Department — and supported by the China Brand Innovation and Development Project, which serves as GCC’s Brand Department.

The conference featured Dr. Djibril Diallo, Chairman of GCC Africa City Hubs, former spokesperson for the President of the United Nations General Assembly, and President of the African Renaissance and Diaspora Network (ARDN), together with Martin Wang, Founder and Executive President of GCC. The event was moderated by GCC Secretary-General Ms. Queenie Qiao.

Representatives from leading Chinese enterprises in renewable energy, rail transit, smart manufacturing, construction engineering, healthcare technology, digital trade, and other sectors participated in the closed-door dialogue and business matchmaking sessions.

A Practical Platform for China-Africa Cooperation

The conference focused on addressing key challenges Chinese enterprises face when entering African markets, including:

  • Localized operations

  • Government and business resource access

  • Compliance and risk management

  • Market expansion

  • Project implementation

Through its extensive cooperation with the United Nations system, broad networks across all 54 African countries, professional compliance support services, and international project implementation capabilities, GCC aims to provide comprehensive support for Chinese companies expanding into Africa.

GCC offers integrated international business services covering:

  • Policy research and advisory

  • International certification support

  • Market channel development

  • Brand internationalization

  • Compliance and risk management

  • Localized operational support

The platform’s goal is to help enterprises move beyond simply “going abroad” toward truly establishing sustainable, localized, and long-term international operations.

Important Cooperation Achievements

During the conference, GCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Qingdao Topscomm Communication Co., Ltd.

Under the agreement, both sides will cooperate in promoting Topscomm’s products and technologies into African and other international markets by leveraging GCC’s growing global City Hub network and international cooperation resources.

GCC will also support the company through:

  • International certification assistance

  • Market access coordination

  • Business matchmaking

  • Project implementation support

  • Compliance and risk management services

The conference also provided a valuable platform for in-depth communication between Chinese enterprises and African cooperation networks, helping identify concrete business needs, practical cooperation opportunities, and long-term project directions.

Building a Sustainable China-Africa Cooperation Ecosystem

Looking ahead, GCC plans to continue strengthening its Africa cooperation network by leveraging:

  • GCC’s Africa-wide partnership system

  • United Nations and international institutional resources

  • Professional compliance and operational support services
